Brianna Mattis

Providence, Rhode Island

Brianna began her ballet training at BCSB in 2012 and joined the SBRI company the same year. As a company member, Brianna performed in roles such as “Swanhidla’s Littlest Friend,” “War,” and “Harvest” (Coppélia), “Lead Butterfly” (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and “Caliente Girl” (Ballet West).  After being promoted to soloist in 2016, Brianna danced the role of “Princess Leonora” (Phantomgreen).  After being promoted to Principal Dancer in 2017, Brianna danced the role of “Swanhilda” (Coppélia) and the “White Rabbit” in the premiere of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.  Brianna is currently a student at Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island, where she is majoring in Psychology with a concentration
in Occupational/Organizational Therapy.  In the future, she hopes to combine her love for dance and psychology to help people through movement and creativity.
