Kimberly Najjar

SBRI Alumna Principal Artist

Born in SanDiego, Kimberly began dancing at the Brae Crest School of Ballet in 1998.  She entered The State Ballet of Rhode Island in 2003 as an Apprentice Dancer and was promoted to a Company Member a few years later.  As a member of SBRI Kimberly performed roles such as Harvest, Waltz and War in Coppélia.  She also performed Morning in Dance of the Hours, The Three Graces in Walpurgis Night and Tarentella in Swan Lake.  After being promoted to a Soloist in 2010 she danced roles such as War, Discord and Swanhilda’s Friend in Coppélia.  Her other roles included Impressions of the Sky, Don Quixote Pas de Deux, Babayaga in Pictures at an Exhibition, Zulma in Giselle.  She was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2013 and danced the lead role in the world premiere ballet Dance of the Firefly, by SBRI choregrapher Shana Fox.  Among her many accomplishments she has danced the lead role in both Giselle and Coppélia.

Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Rhode Island College and continues to help dancers prepare for their roles as SBRI’s Rehearsal Assistant.
