Sara began dancing at BCSB in 2003 and joined SBRI as a company member in 2006.  As a company member, she danced roles such as “Night & Day” (Coppélia), “Mid-Morning” (Dance of the Hours), “Swanhilda’s Friend” (Coppélia), and “Flowers” (Gansel and Hetal). She was promoted to Soloist in 2009 and performed memorable roles such as “Babayaga” (Pictures at an Exhibition), “War” (Coppélia), and Impressions of the Sky.  Sara took a few years off to obtain an undergraduate education in South Carolina, and then Boston where she continued to study dance while also getting her BS in Biology in 2017.  Upon returning to the company, she danced the roles of “Discord” (Coppélia), “Queen of Hearts” (Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland), and the Claire de Lune Pas de Deux. In 2018, Sara was promoted to Principal Dancer.  This is her third season dancing the leading role of “Swanhilda” and prior to the cancellation of Giselle, she was looking forward to performing the lead role.  Sara currently works as a Neurophysiologist at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.
